Talk:Xux'Laio's Roost

From RaidWiki

Greetings to Raidwiki from EQ2i. Despite the past bad blood between us, some of us younger editors there are making every effort to track down ALL information that was borrowed from RaidWiki and expunge it, replacing it with a link pointing to your site. The content borrowed from your site without permission was done by a past admin who is no longer active. We are not perfect, and EQ2i is HUGE with some older content poorly cross-linked and categorized. If you find ANY content on our site that you wish removed, please put a link to the exact page(s) on my talk page. I have corrected all pages that you have listed on the right margin of your main page, and am continuing to search all of our raid content.

It would be a nice reciprocal gesture if you removed the inflammatory remarks on your main page.

Although I was not taking part in this argument at the time, I am supplying webhosting for RaidWiki. Most actions in this matter came forth from Genagen and Arnalix, who wrote a lot of the content of RaidWiki. I will ask them to reply on the matter.

Speaking for myself, I am happy with this course of action. EQ2i has always been a great source of information for EQ2 players, and I thought it was a shame such a big site had to resort to copy content without approval. This all happened some time ago now, and in the meantime a lot has changed for Shadow Wind. We do not raid as much as we used to, hence the lack of updates lately. Luckily there are still people who use these pages and keep updating and adding information, as this site was intented to do. I thank you for your contribution aswell.

I also feel there is no more need for flames, so I will look at removing some headlines from the frontpage as you requested.

I thank you for your words. That is all that I ask. I joined EQ2i and became an admin well after what happened, and I have NOT condoned the actions that precipitated the confrontation. I have been active online since before there was an Internet, and have seen these kinds of disagreements too many times to think that ANYONE in it is totally right, or totally wrong. I just want to make it right, as do most of the currently active admins at EQ2i.

I had not checked back until today, and see the front page notes are gone. My thanks to you. I hope that we can all just get along now. :) If you or anyone should find any more raidwiki content at EQ2i, please leave a note on the pages talk page, or on my talk page and I will see to it that the page is fixed asap.
